  • St. Catherine Seat and Nayabedda tea estate
      St. Catherine Seat provides a magnificent view of Bandarawela, Diyatalawa and the surrounding mountains of the Uva Basin. St. Catherine Seat which is situated in the upper division of Nayabedda Tea Estate can be approached through the Nayabedda tea estate on the Poonagala Road. Nayabedda tea estate is situated in the Poonagala hills and is another travellers attraction from where a visitor could have a panoramic view of the surrounding mountain range.
  • Lipton's Seat
      Lipton's Seat is located in the Poonagala hills and is undoubtedly one of the best viewing points of Sri Lanka. It is told that on a clear day, a visitor can see 5 provinces of Sri Lanka and even on an average day you can see endless territory towards South, East and South West of Sri Lanka from this point. This is where the most famous Tea planter of Ceylon, Sir Thomas Lipton used to admire & enjoy the magnificent sceneries of the hill country. This location is close to Haputale and Bandarawela and can be reached from Bandarawela through Nayabedda tea Estate.
  • Ella Gap
      Ella is just a 30 minutes drive from Bandarawela and is famous due to the Ella Gap and adventurous environment it offers. Ella Gap is a spectacular gap in the southern mountain wall where the land falls away in a scenic drop of 3,000 feet to the southern plains and the sea. On a clear night, a visitor can also catch a glimpse of the Great Basses lighthouse.
  • Ravana Ella
      Ravana Ella (Ravana Falls) is a natural wonder and is one of the most sought after tourist attractions in Sri lanka. The Ravana Ella is 131ft in height and has its roots connected to the famous Indian epic, the Ramayana.A cave ("cave of gold") hidden behind the falls is believed to be one of several places where Rawana hid the lovely Indian Princess Sita after abducting her.Rawana ella is situated on the Ella, Wellawaya main road and is located near the village of Udunuwara.
  • Diyaluma Falls
      The Diyaluma Falls which is 628ft. is the second tallest waterfall in Sri lanka and the sixth tallest in the world. This beautifull waterfall collects its water from the Poonagala Oya and is Located six miles from Koslanda and 13 miles from Wellawaya, and is Situated near Koslanda, beside the main highway to Wellawaya.
  • Dunhinda Falls
      Dunhinda Falls is one of the country’s most renowned waterfalls flowing from Badulu Oya, and has a height of 210ft it is surrounded by mountains and jungle and is a site to be visited. Dunhinda Falls is on the Mahiyanganaya Road, about 5 km from Badulla.
  • Demodara Nine Arched Bridge
      Demodara Nine Arched Bridge which is known in Sinhala as "Ahas namaye palama" (Nine skies bridge) is 99.6ft high. This beautiful and amazing bridge was built between the two railway stations - Ella and Demodara during the British Colonial period.
  • Demodara Loop and the railway station
      The Demodara railroad loop is an amazing and unique creation of Sri lankan railway. It is where the rail track goes around the mountain in a loop and through a tunnel beneath the Demodara Railway Station and has the shape of a turban. Demodara is third rail way station from Badulla.
  • The Horton Plains National Park
      The Horton Plains is 32 kilometres away from Nuwara Eliya and is the only National Park situated in the Hill Country. It is characterized by the wide Patna-grass covered plain which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna of whichsome are endemic.It is also a top destination for Bird enthusiasts to observe endemic and migratory birds.
      The most dramatic feature of the National Park is 'World’s End' where the plateau comes to an abrupt end and drops nearly 1000m vertically. The view is magnificent on a clear day.
  • Nuwaraeliya
      Nuwaraeliya which is called Little England is just one and half hours drive from Bandarawela. Nuwara Eliya is located at at around 2000m above sea level, in a splendid landscape. Nuwara Eliya offers many activities for visitors including visits to tea plantations, golfing, horse riding, boating, hiking and of course exploring the beauty of the landscaped gardens, waterfalls and plateaus.
  • Adisham Bungalow
      Adisham Bungalow is a beautiful place, in Bandarawela. It is situated inside Tangamalai Bird sanctuary and is a part of Glenanore Tea Estate. It serves as a monastery for the Silvestro/Benedectine monks of the Catholic order and it is a place study and meditation for Novitiate priests of that order. It is a Fantastic place for a Holiday of relaxation.
  • Dhowa Rock Temple
      Ancient Dhowa rock temple was founded by the King Walagamba in the first century BC and is located 6 km away from the Bandarawela city. It Has a 38 ft Buddha image sculptured from a rock and paintings belonging to the Kandyan era, depicting various Jataka stories.
